SUNRISE, FL May 21, 2015 - Interim HealthCare, the nation’s leading home care, hospice and healthcare staffing franchise, announced today that Jennifer Hulsey, RN of Interim HealthCare Oklahoma City, Oklahoma was named the 2015 Interim HealthCare Nurse of the Year. In celebration of National Nurses Week, which began May 6th and ended on May 12th, Interim HealthCare saluted all nurses and healthcare workers who provide care to their patients at over 300 franchise offices across the country.

“Jennifer Hulsey is an inspiration to all nurses as she demonstrates the qualities of excellence and care to her patients,” said Kathleen Gilmartin, RN, president and CEO of Interim HealthCare, Inc. “In honor of National Nurses Week we once again recognized all of our dedicated nurses, especially Jennifer as they continue to provide exemplary service to their patients.”
Sharon Collins, the General Manager for the Oklahoma City office eloquently stated her case for Jennifer Hulsey, RN, being awarded the “Nurse of the Year” honor.  “Jennifer has worked for the Oklahoma City office for 6 years, starting as a pediatric nurse and moving to home care in 2010.  She is highly skilled and a great team player … regularly recognizing coworkers and sharing positive customer comments with other team members.   Jennifer is also incredibly effective in her documentation and assessment skills and communication with the physician to help her patients avoid hospitalization.”

Collins went on to say, “Jennifer is an amazing nurse, but she is much more than that.  She is a person I would entrust with the care of my mother or daughter.  She is loyal, kind, trustworthy, and dependable, both as an employee and as a person.  She is skilled, highly competent, conscientious, and an impeccable documenter.  I cannot imagine our agency without her”.
This is the 15th year that Interim HealthCare has conducted a “Nurse of the Year” contest among its 300 franchise locations. To be considered as a nominee for Nurse of the Year, applicants must be an employee of Interim HealthCare for more than one year, provide exemplary nursing service to their patients and demonstrate qualities of excellence and caring.
