Interim HealthCare Honors Huntington's Disease Awareness Month

SUNRISE, FL – May 20, 2013 – Interim HealthCare, the nation’s first and finest home healthcare franchise company, today launched the newest of its “Stories from Home” documentary series. In honor of Huntington’s Disease Awareness Month, the video highlights the benefits of receiving help in the home for Interim HealthCare patient, Althia Pisinski.
The video is now available for viewing above and also on Interim HealthCare’s YouTube channel www.youtube.com/interimhealthcare. It focuses on Interim HealthCare’s Physical Therapy and Aide services highlighting patient Althea Pisinski, who after being diagnosed with Huntington’s Disease is experiencing a lack of coordination and strength. Physical therapist Jeanne Brown comes to her home to help her with her mobility issues. Karen Bojarski, an Interim HealthCare nursing aide also assists Althea all day long with everyday tasks to ensure she maintains her independence, which her husband Victor Pisinski appreciates since he’s not able to do so during the day as he still maintains a full time career.
“May is Huntington’s Disease Awareness Month and is a terrific opportunity to raise awareness and encourage education about the disease and its impact on patients and their families” said Kathleen Gilmartin, President and CEO of Interim HealthCare Inc. “Many times families think that when the care gets to be too much for them their loved one needs to move into a facility, however with Interim’s home care services they can remain in their homes and get the care and support they and be able to stay in their home environment where they most want to be.”
Interim’s Stories from Home mini-documentary videos all feature real patients and real care professional in their home setting.
