Stories From Home

Every day, our home care heroes make a difference in the lives of patients and clients. Each one is a story waiting to be told. We would like to share some of those stories. They are about real people who may be recovering from an illness or injury, have a chronic illness such as heart failure or diabetes or maybe they just need a little extra help at home so they can remain independent. The stories are also about the very special people, our Care Professionals, who provide the caring help and support that makes a difference in the lives of our clients and their families. We’re glad to share just a few of our “Stories from Home.”

Interim Healthcare takes pride in what our clients and employees have to say about their experiences.

What our clients have to say...

"It has been such a help knowing that someone else cared about our Dad. You are very special." Sandy S.

"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Just wanted to say how much I appreciate your time and professionalism. You being there with Mom has taken a heavy load from me." Dina O.

"It is nice to see that an agency can take the time to go the extra mile for their clients and make them feel special." Sandy & June W.

"We recently utilized your services to help care for a family member that required medical attention beyond what my wife and I were able to, or qualified, to provide. This is the second time that we have used Interim to care for a family member who needed assistance; Interim also provided assistance to my elderly mother with morning dressing and bathing. I want to let you know that my wife and I found your staff to be professional, dependable, caring and very good at communicating with the family. Should the need arise, we won't hesitate to contact you again for assistance to our family." Gary C.

"It not only gave me a sense of security, but helped me to remain and live as an independent senior citizen. I can always count on the availability of help. It makes all the difference of being 'shut in' or being open to the world and I am grateful." Hilda S.

"Interims dependable caregiver has made it possible for me to stay in my home, choosing my own schedule of support which has reduced my anxiety and made life more predictable, healthy and enjoyable." Robert F.

What our Care Professionals have to say...

"Being a Home Care Aide for the last 15 years is one of the biggest joys of my life. Working with Interim has been instrumental in that joy. I left for a number of years and pursued other careers but came back to Interim. Working with such a professional team is something one doesn't find very often. I especially enjoy refreshing my skills with the online in-services. Working with Interim is like coming home." Jane P.

"What I like about working for Interim is the knowledge that I have been able to make a positive difference in those lives I touch. It may mean being there to listen to them, to share an experience with them, or to provide a taste of home cooking...I have had many jobs; held many roles; worn many hats, but I can truthfully say that this career has given me more satisfaction, and peace of mind than any other." Sharon G.

"Over the last 10 years or so, they have laughed with me, cried with me, given me many hugs when needed, encouraged me, supported me, listened to me, and even let me know, kindly, when I screwed up. They are great, caring, very compassionate people. They really care about their clients and staff, and go out of their way to help." Linda S. CNA

The Right Match

As is the case with most patients with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Mr. Stein’s physical condition has slowly deteriorated over time. Now in his late fifties, he finds it difficult to stand for extended periods of time, or perform certain household tasks. As his MS has advanced, Mr. Stein has been increasingly reliant on the kind of help traditionally associated with those of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).

Maintaining Independence
