Independent Living for Seniors

Living by yourself as an adult is becoming more and more common in the United States. In fact, 28% of households are comprised of adults who live alone, an increase of 19% from 1950. However, just because a great number of adults are living alone, doesn't mean they lack the need for companionship. Many of the things we have long believed about single living simply are not true.

Skin Cancer Awareness

Today’s seniors are more likely than previous generations to develop skin cancer. They risk is greater because during their younger years the public did not have the same awareness of the damage the sun (and tanning beds) can do to skin. According to the American Cancer Society, skin cancer is the most common type of cancer, and it affects almost 2.2 million Americans.
