Interim HealthCare Expands in South Carolina with Successful Palmetto State Healthcare Entrepreneur
Sunrise, FL - Interim HealthCare Inc., the nation’s leading network of home health and staffing services that span the care continuum, announced a major expansion in South Carolina, backed by Gary Cooper, a longtime South Carolina healthcare entrepreneur and co-founder of Palmetto Infusion Services. Alongside his son and business partner, Clemons Cooper, they will oversee operations across Chesterfield, Clarendon, Darlington, Florence, Kershaw, Lee, Marlboro, Sumter, and Williamsburg counties.
The new franchise, expected to open in the Spring of 2026, reflects Interim HealthCare’s renewed focus on attracting dedicated owners to meet the rising demand for home-based care.
“We are thrilled to welcome Gary and Clemons into the Interim HealthCare family. Their passion for local service embodies the type of franchise owner we seek as we continue expanding our network,” said Rexanne Domico, President and CEO of Interim HealthCare Inc. “Attracting mission-driven, community-focused leaders like the Coopers will accelerate our ability to meet the growing demand for quality home-based care across the country.”
Gary has dedicated more than 25 years of service and leadership to the healthcare industry as an entrepreneur across several different businesses spanning home healthcare, hospice, private duty nursing, home infusion, and ambulatory infusion clinics. His ethos of servant leadership is reflected in building organizational cultures that prioritize patient care, employee development, and industry transformation.
“My career has always centered on a deep commitment to community-level impact, whether through the individuals we serve or those we employ. I can’t think of a better way to extend this legacy than by joining Interim HealthCare’s storied franchise business, which I’m looking forward to being part of alongside my son,” said Gary Cooper, co-owner of the new franchise.
The new Florence-area franchise will expand access to high-quality home health, personal care and support, and healthcare staffing services at a time when demand across South Carolina and the U.S. continues to grow rapidly. As patients increasingly choose care at home, Interim HealthCare is seeking owners who share the organization’s mission of compassion, clinical excellence, and community stewardship.
