Meet Me Monday: Home Care Professional Profile

Interim HealthCare of the Capital Region has so many truly amazing, talented, and compassionate Team Members! With our monthly feature, “Meet Me Monday”, we invite you to learn a little bit more about the people that are the heart of our company and share our mission to Improve People’s Lives!

Meet Me Mondays:  Nicole

How long have you worked at Interim?
I’ve been working here for 3 years.

What do you do here at Interim?
I’m a finance assistant here at Interim. I work in the bookkeeping office.

What is your favorite things about working for Interim?
I love the fact that I can come in every single day and it is never a repeat of the days past.  I obviously perform the same job duties daily but what happens throughout the day is constantly changing.   I love interacting with the caregivers that come into the office and on a whim sometimes a client will come in and I get to meet them in person instead of my normal phone interaction with them.

What are your hobbies or interests?
Not sure this is a hobby, but I love to cook and bake especially for my friends and neighbors. Some of my specialties include Caprese salad, and my sprinkle cookies. I’m also a very dedicated Doggie Mom. My girl, Jasmine, is my baby! When I’m not working, Jasmine goes everywhere with me!

What is your favorite book or movie and why?
This is a hard question, I have way too many movies to list.  My favorite book is “Suzanne’s Diary for Nicholas” by James Patterson.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
I would love to go to Dubai someday.  A few years ago, my father was watching a golf tournament and they were playing there.  I had watched a travel documentary months before all about the United Arab Emirates and Dubai, so it was ironic to see a golf tournament there.  Since that day, it has been my dream to go there.

If you could sit and talk with any one person, living or dead, who would it be and why?
I want to talk to not just one person but two people.  This would be my dad’s parents who passed away long before I was born.   They were immigrants from Italy and moved to Schenectady, where they raised my dad and his siblings.  I now live on the same street that they lived on back in the 1940’s.   I would love to be able to walk down the street to see them daily

Skydiving.. yes or no? Why?
Yes please!!!  This is on my bucket list and I hope to do this very soon.

What is your favorite food?
Pizza…I could eat it every day multiple times a day

What is one of your favorite memories?
My birthday, I was 12 and my family and I were on our way home from Florida.  My father had told the flight attendant it was my birthday so in flight they announce it and there happen to be a band on the plane.  The entire band got out their instruments and played Happy Birthday while the plane sang to me.  I will never forget that moment.

Do you have a favorite saying?
Okie dokes
