What a great team At Interim Healthcare of Gilbert! When I inquired about their services after having surgery, Jason and Robin came to my home to introduce themselves and check out my surroundings. Great tips for not just our Elderly and Children but everyone. Stay Safe Arizona! 1. Stay Cool Indoors Use A/C: Even if just for a few hours daily. If unavailable, visit malls, libraries, or senior centers. Close Curtains: Block direct sunlight to keep rooms cooler. Use Fans: Circulate air but combine with cool compresses or A/C for best effect. 2. Hydration is Critical Drink Regularly: Aim for 6–8 glasses daily. Don’t wait to feel thirsty. Avoid Alcohol & Caffeine: They can contribute to dehydration. Eat Water-Rich Foods: Watermelon, cucumber, oranges, and soups help maintain hydration. 3. Dress for Heat Lightweight Clothing: Wear loose, breathable cotton or linen. Hats & Sunglasses: Protect from direct sun exposure when outside. 4. Modify Activity Rest Often: Avoid outdoor chores or exercise during hot parts of the day. Cool Showers: Take a cool shower or sponge bath to lower body temp. 5. Medication Check Review with Doctor: Some medications increase sensitivity to heat or cause dehydration. Store Safely: Ensure meds are kept in a cool, dry place. 6.
