What Our Community is Saying

I’m so happy I found this company when I did. My father needed extra help when I was too far to give it and he didn’t have the insurance to help cover it. They provide loving, professional service at a great rate. I would suggest this to anyone on a tighter budget, interim care is amazing.

Employee Spotlight Interview

What inspired you to start your journey in healthcare?
After I graduated high school, I started taking care of my grandma and realized that it was something I could see myself doing as a career.

What has been the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
I’ve learned the importance of keeping a clean environment for clients. It really impacts their overall well-being. I also learned that little things matter more than you would think.

Can you share a meaningful moment with a client?
I spent Easter with a client who didn’t want to eat anything in the house that day. Since it was a holiday, I ordered pizza. We sat and talked as we ate lunch. I could tell the companionship meant a lot to him. That’s what I mean by the little things matter more than you would think.

How has your confidence grown?
I feel more confident completing my skills, like giving showers. Even with training, it took time to develop a process that allows me to work efficiently.

What challenges did you face early on?
At first, I struggled with not always having the same items I’d use at home. I learned how to improvise. For example, making meals with whatever is available while still making them great.

What motivates you every day?
Seeing the results!

How has home health changed your perspective?
I’ve learned that when people have the right support at home, it helps prevent injuries and decline. It also allows them to live independently in the comfort of their own home.

What makes a great caregiver?
Being caring, patient, and disciplined.

What inspired your goal to become a nurse?
My mom passed away when I was 8, which gave me a negative impression of hospitals growing up. As I got older, I realized healthcare workers are the opposite of what I thought. They save lives and help people be the best version of themselves. I wanted to be part of that.

Thank you for your hard work, compassion, and dedication. You consistently show what it means to provide care with heart, and we are so grateful to have you on our team. Congratulations on being our Employee of the Month!
Understanding Home Care: What Families Should Know
Jun. 18

Many families wait until a crisis happens before looking into home care. A fall, hospital stay, illness, or caregiver burnout can suddenly make it clear that extra support is needed.

But home care is not only for emergencies. It can also be a helpful way to keep someone safer, more comfortable, and more independent at home.

What is home care in Clearwater Florida?

Home care provides non-medical support for people who need help with daily activities. This may include assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, light housekeeping, laundry, medication reminders, companionship, and safety supervision.

When should Clearwater FL families consider home care?

Home care may be helpful when someone is:

Having difficulty keeping up with personal hygiene
Forgetting meals, medications, or daily routines
Recovering after a hospital or rehab stay
Living alone and needing more check-ins
Experiencing memory loss or dementia symptoms
At risk for falls
Relying heavily on family caregivers
Feeling isolated or lonely

Home Care Can Also Support Family Caregivers

Many loved ones provide care because they want to, but caregiving can become physically and emotionally exhausting. Having extra help in the home can give family members time to rest, work, run errands, or simply be present as a spouse, child, or loved one again.

Care Does Not Always Have to Start Big

Some families need several hours of care each day. Others may only need help with a morning routine, evening routine, shower support, meal preparation, laundry, or wellness checks. The right care plan should match the person’s actual needs.

At Interim HealthCare of Clearwater, we help families throughout Pinellas County understand their options and create support that fits their situation.

Not sure where to start? Call our local Clearwater team today. We’re happy to talk through what is going on and help you decide what type of support may make sense.

Extra support after a hospital or rehab stay.

Coming home from the hospital, rehab, or skilled nursing facility can feel overwhelming — especially when someone is still weak, adjusting to a new routine, or needing extra help to settle back in safely.

Our Safe Landing Home Packages are designed to provide short-term, practical support during that important transition home.

These packages are ideal for individuals who may not need traditional ongoing home care, but could benefit from help with things like:

  • Getting settled safely at home
  • Personal care and daily routines
  • Meal preparation
  • Light housekeeping
  • Laundry and linens
  • Medication reminders
  • Safety checks
  • Errands or basic household support
  • Extra peace of mind for family members

At Interim HealthCare of Clearwater, we understand that support does not always need to start with a four-hour minimum or a long-term commitment. Sometimes, a few focused visits can make all the difference.

Whether your loved one is returning home after a hospitalization, rehab stay, procedure, or recent change in condition, our team can help create a smoother, safer transition.

Call us to learn more about our Safe Landing Home Packages and how we can help support the first days back home.

Not everyone needs traditional hourly care.

Some people just need help with a shower. A medication reminder. A load of laundry. A meal. A safety check. A little support to stay independent at home.

Our Essential Support Program was created for families who need reliable help without committing to a 4-hour minimum.

We believe families deserve clear options, practical support, and transparent pricing. That’s why we are sharing our Essential Support pricing publicly.

These visits are designed to make home care more accessible while still providing the dependable, compassionate support families expect from Interim HealthCare of Clearwater.

Many older adults need a little help at home—but not necessarily several hours at a time. We created our Essential Support Program to provide flexible, task-focused assistance with the things that matter most, including morning and evening routines, showers, meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry and wellness checks. Families can choose the support they need without paying for hours they do not.

Families caring for someone living with dementia often need more than a list of services—they need guidance, education and dependable support. Through our dementia care services and GUIDE Model partnership, we help families better understand their options, connect with resources and create a plan that supports both the individual and their caregiver.
