Our Escondido Community

For generations, a community has served a vital role in terms of acting as a support system and offering a way to bring people together.

Our Escondido CommunityWith our society moving at a faster pace with busy schedules and the frequency people change jobs, homes and locations, it makes it harder to make a connection and feel part of something bigger than yourself.  As a locally owned and operated business, we are committed to the community we serve.

Each year, our employees participate in a variety of community activities and support a number of worthwhile organizations. A strong community benefits the individual, the community as well as the greater society. People of all ages who feel a sense of belonging tend to lead happier and healthier lives, and strong communities create a more stable and supportive society. This is directly related to our Interim HealthCare mission – We Improve People’s Lives.

“Wiggin’ Out For San Diego Seniors”

Our Escondido CommunityOn a beautiful Spring day this March, Interim HealthCare of San Diego County donned their red t-shirts and crazy wigs at “Wiggin’ Out For San Diego Seniors”. The event was a 5k walk/run in support of San Diego Meals-On-Wheels; whose mission statement is: To support the independence and well-being of seniors. Nearly 40 Interim employees of both the Home Health and Hospice, along with their families, walked in the Southern California sunshine collectively raising over $5500. Interim HealthCare of San Diego County was the events largest fundraiser bringing in over $800 and was even featured on KUSI News.

The funds that were raised will directly support Meal-On-Wheels in the delivery of nutritious meals to seniors in their homes. In addition to the contribution to San Diego’s senior community, Interim HealthCare also walked in honor of their recently departed coworker and beloved Home Health RN, Deb. Deb passed away unexpectedly in February, and this event provided a beautiful outlet for her fellow coworkers and friends to honor her affinity for caring for her patients. Deb was known for supporting her patients long after they completed their treatment with her, through kind acts such as providing groceries for those who could not do it for themselves.

In total, the entire day was overflowing with sunshine and smiles. It was a wonderful way to enjoy the San Diego’s gorgeous weather, while supporting the community we know and love. Interim HealthCare of San Diego County prides itself on being a family and providing care to our patients as if they are an extension of such. It was a pleasure to show the community just how much we love what we do and we look forward to the next event!
