Personal Care and Support

Personal CareMany older adults prefer to stay at home as they age. But is this the right choice for you or your loved one? The goal of home care (or senior care) is to help your loved one remain at home as long as possible, rather than moving into a long–term care facility.

Personal care and support services may be right for your loved one if they need minor assistance with daily activities such as bathing, light housekeeping and meal preparation but don’t have a close network of nearby family and friends around to help. Or, our personal care and support services could be the extra support you need as you are recuperating from a stay at a hospital or rehabilitative facility.  In each instance, our trained Care Professionals are dedicated to providing quality care with compassion and a commitment to the highest level of customer service.

We provide a wide range of home care services that can help you maintain your independence.

The Interim Health Care team provided home care services for my father. Dad had moderate dementia and the Interim caregivers visited each morning to be sure he had taken his medications, had clean clothes, and completed his basic personal hygiene.

The Interim team may have saved my Dad's life at one point. A nurse on the team notified us when Dad took ill and needed hospitalization. Without daily monitoring, Dad may not have received the care he needed in time. After a four-day hospital stay, our family asked Interim to provide extra daily visits until Dad had recovered. The Interim team's knowledge and communication to us was especially helpful before, during, and after this time. It is comforting to know that someone was looking out for Dad on a daily basis.

The Interim caregivers provided excellent notes and other feedback so we knew how Dad was doing between our family visits. They also cared about Dad as a person, which meant a lot.  I would recommend Interim to any other family seeking an individually tailored senior home care solution for an elder parent's needs.
