Behind the Passion: Dr. Anthony and Renée Cortés, Owners of Interim Healthcare of Sarasota County

Born with a desire to give back, Dr. Anthony and Renée Cortés know firsthand the importance of quality home care when it matters most. In 2003, Renée’s mother Gracie needed support due to a heart condition and aging challenges. Immediately Renée provided quality in-home personal care that gave Grace a long and happy life in the comfort oRenee and Tony Cortes - Interim HeatlhCare Franchise Ownersf her own home. Later in 2010, Anthony’s father, Don Antonio, was diagnosed with Dementia and required in-home assistance with activities of daily living (ADL). He was able to receive support, enrichment programming and personal care in the comfort and familiarity of his home for many years. The passion to serve and support folks at home for Dr. Anthony and Renée is more than just a career but a mission, a ministry and a purpose to live out their parent’s caring legacy.

Renée serves as our CFO and began her career as an environmental engineer and after 15 years decided to turn her skills into serving her community through non-profits, senior care, ministry, design and finance. Her life's work has revolved around providing exceptional care for the less fortunate. Renée has a Master of Science degree and manages our finances to ensure growth and financial responsibility. She meets, assesses and trains each new caregiver to ensure quality of care, integrity and professionalism for all our clients.

Dr. Anthony Cortés, who goes by Tony, spent a 30-year career centered on proven capabilities in executive leadership to the educational, non-profit and international relief workplaces across the US and aboard. He has served on various boards such as the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center Latino Health Advisory and as the vice chair for a statewide youth nonprofit organization. He brings to Interim HealthCare his expertise as COO, vice president and department director for various private agencies. Tony has a Ph.D. in Human Development with a concentration in positive psychology and instructional leadership. Dr. Cortes serves as our CEO and his focus is creating community partnerships and finding the best caregivers while providing them with an environment where they are valued, trusted and empowered to do their best work.

Meet the Newest Member of our Team:


Meet Irene Nobles our new Director of Nursing.  
Irene is an accomplished nurse executive with over 30 years of health care experience.  She has expertise in facility operations at various levels including, direct patient care, State/Federal regulatory compliance, QA/Risk management, budgeting, and program development.  She has demonstrated proficiency with a successful track record in leading and directing the overall nursing operation of the organization while achieving the company’s business objectives.  Specialties include regulatory compliance, healthcare risk management, and legal nurse consulting with clinical proficiencies in a diverse patient population.  Her personal mission has been to promote optimal health and wellness, recognizing that access to quality healthcare help to ensure the well-being of her clients.  Irene has numerous licenses, certifications and a Master of Science in Nursing.  We are very excited to have Irene join our Team of Healthcare Professionals serving our community.
