My name is Crystal Smith and I am the Manager at Interim HealthCare of Santa Rosa. Growing up I lived in an intergenerational home and was very close to my grandparents and great-grandma. I remember when my great-grandma moved in with us after she had a big fall. Soon after, she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. I know the stress that comes along being a family caregiver and the toll that if can take on families. Eventually, my family had to make a change and placed her into a board and care.
After college, I began my career as an Activity Director in assisted living. This year marks my twelfth year in the senior living industry. I have grown the most after moving into a sales position. This is where I found I could help families navigate the senior living industry and find the right fit for the senior in their life.
I needed to find my next adventure that would also allow me to find more balance in my life. Meeting Cathy and Interim was the best thing that could have come into my life. I love working directly for an owner, we are always on the same page. As a manager, I am always looking out for how I can take care of my staff and train them to be the best. In my position, I have the best of both worlds. I get to be the one to meet the families and
help them find peace and balance with bringing in-home care while partnering them with a great caregiver.
When I’m not at work I am hanging out with my husband and two beautiful boys. Our time together is so important to me. We are either planning our next camping trip, going to the beach, playing sports, or watching something that involves Star Wars.
