This is a water activity that can help with movements if your elderly loved one has difficulties with that. The water is perfect for your loved one because it does not add any stress to their joints. In addition, the pool is usually heated for these activities. This means that your elderly loved ones muscles will warm up and they will be able to easily perform more movements than they normally would do on land.
Everyone likes some type of music and choosing to use it as an activity is a great way to help improve the health of your elderly loved one. While there are music therapists that can help with these activities, as long as you can find some instruments and a lesson plan to use then you will be just fine doing it with your loved one.
Light therapy can be really therapeutic for your loved one if they live in a northern region where they can go a long time without seeing the sun. During the therapy, your loved one will have exposure to a light source that will have the same wavelengths as the sun.
