About Us

Interim HealthCare is family owned by Michael and Marlana Hawkins, and is a Veteran Owned Small Business. 

We opened for business in February 2014, providing in-home personal care and support services that help our elderly and/or disabled neighbors live enriched, safe and independent lives. Our mission is to improve the lives of those we serve--both by creating a culture of family within our caregiver community, and by providing customized care and support services to our clients.  We specialize in dementia care and are proud of our Home Life Enrichment Program; a one-of-a-kind, multi-dimensional approach to addressing all aspects of care:  the Mind, Body, Spirit, and Family.

In late 2016 we started providing medical staffing to our community, offering experienced and trained Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants.  We have built a great team of caregivers and have built a reputation of reliability, truly when it matters most, our facility clients can count on us.  We currently serve skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, medical clinics, home health and hospice agencies, and substance abuse recovery centers.   

About our Owners:
Marlana has been a registered nurse since 1996 with a vast array of experiences in oncology, home health and hospice, medical surgical, and operating room.  She has worked as a floor nurse, case manager and director of nursing.  Her life's work has revolved around providing exceptional care.  Marlana overseas the care of our home clients, and also is our primary liaison with our staffing clients.  

Michael spent over 20 years as an Air Force officerMike's focus is on day to day operations, on taking exceptional care of our staff, and on always improving our employee and client experience.  

Both are involved in the business on a daily basis, have an open door policy, and welcome feedback from our community that gives us opportunities to learn and grow.

As a Veteran Owned Business, and members of the Utah Veteran Owned Business Partnership, we’re also extremely passionate about supporting the veterans and spouses in our community.  We have access to wonderful resources that help our veteran community receive quality care and access to the Aid and Attendance pension to help pay for care.  

We are proud to have received the Best of Home Care Provider of Choice award for 2016 and 2017 and the Veteran Owned Business of the year award by the Utah Small Business Administration in 2016.   We are also very proud to have been awarded the Interim HealthCare National President's Pinnacle Award for 2018 and the Interim HealthCare National Transformation Award for 2018.

In August 2019 we were selected to the 2019 Inc 5000 List:  The most successful companies in America.  We were ranked #613 in the United States, #13 in Utah and #3 in Salt Lake City.
