Home Care For Veterans

Many Veterans don't realize that they are eligible for home care benefits through the V.A.

The owners and Staff at Interim HealthCare of Northern California are ever grateful to the men and women of the U.S. Military and their families for the sacrifices you make to protect us. We know the importance of getting help to the heroes who need and deserve it.

"Many people simply don't realize that home care for qualified Veterans is available through the V.A, they deserve better than that.", says Renee Rand, one of the owners at Interim HealthCare of Northern California. "There are many veterans in Shasta and Siskiyou Counties, we want them to know that help is available."

Any War-Time Veteran with 90 days of active duty, 1 day beginning or ending during a period of War, is eligible to apply for the Aid & Attendance Improved Pension. A surviving spouse (marriage must have ended due to death of veteran) of a War-Time Veteran may also apply. The individual applying must qualify both medically and financially.

This testimonial is given for Nurse Asia Zafir who is caregiver for me and my wife. she is an outstanding professional in her duties. She has caught over-subscribing meds for my wife, of which the Dr agreed and sent a compliment for her on catching the problem. For me who had a heart attack three years ago and had breathing problems so bad I could not function properly for the whole time, she caught  poor lung function and put me on the breath unit that you exercise your lungs, and within two days I was able to walk around without physical fatigue and now almost back to full strength. Her professional knowledge seems excellent and her calm caring personality is a pleasure to see each visit. Getting her to smile is a challenge of which I get great pleasure. She is very caring and through on all commitments to recommendations to Drs for suggestions and diagnosis. I have seen over the years many nurses, and Asia is one of the best I have encountered.
