Adult & Senior Care Client Stories:

Paige B – Interim Client for 6 mos:

  • Paige is an adult whose intellectual function is about that of a 5 year old.  She came to us with morbid obesity, diabetes which was out of control, blindness, a permanent tracheostomy, a well-meaning family…yet she wasn’t living to her full potential.  We introduced skilled nurses who fell in love with her from the start, and began preparing healthier meals that she enjoys, modifying her activity and broadening her horizons.  Within 3 months Paige had lost #12, her diabetes numbers dropped significantly and her socialization began to improve.  Her nurses put her on an activity program which included both treadmill use and lower body strength-building exercises.  Now when we visit, we can find her self-motivating to get to the dining room, excitedly shouting, “Leg lifts!”
