When human beings realize they need assistance to do simple tasks such as dressing, eating, showering, and using the restroom, due to old age or disability, it can be emotionally deflating.  It can be even more painful when they must be taken out of their home and put into a facility because they cannot complete these everyday tasks that were once second nature. I am passionate about helping people remain in their homes where they are most comfortable and happy. I help our clients, who include the elderly, adults with disability or illness, families on the PA Wavier program, or anyone seeking help with their daily lives remain in their home with the assistance from our highly trained, caring, and professional staff.

My personal background is a collage of experiences from all parts of the community, from being a tax accountant, to middle school math and science teacher, a licensed insurance producer, and now, president of one of the premiere home care agencies in the area. I found my passion for homecare when my own father needed assistance in the home in his middle age. He needed assistance with everyday tasks and refused to leave the home he had been in for over 25 years.  I, as a first-generation Korean and oldest son, had to honor his request. It was exhausting to work full time during the day and then provide personal care at night. We searched for a professional, reliable, and caring homecare provider for over a year but came across numerous dead ends. I realized that there was an immediate need for a reliable, professional, honest, and most importantly, caring homecare agency in our community.

Once my father fully recovered, I knew that I had found my calling and did not want any other family or person in our community to experience the feeling of helplessness I had felt. In July 2017, I took the reins of a homecare agency with very little direction, and now have Interim Healthcare of Lower Montgomery County recognized as one of the premiere homecare agencies in the area. We are involved locally with the Montgomery County Area on Aging, Montgomery County Senior Adult Activity Centers, Montgomery County Senior Olympics, Encore Community Center, New Horizon Senior Center, and Generations of Indian Valley, to name a few.  It is my goal to make sure that our organization gives back to the community and to the people who make up the community.  We want to ensure the people of Montgomery County and the surrounding areas know we are here to help, whatever it takes.
