Alzheimer's & Dementia

When we talk about Dementia or a person living with Dementia the approach we take with care can be a positive one. We at Interim Healthcare have an on-staff  Dementia Specialist that works with our Caregiving staff and families to use the positive approach to care technique developed by Teepa Snow. This positive approach to care is one that emphasizes that a person living with Demenita is still very much a person and should be treated and respected with care.  People living with  Demenita may experience emotional, physical and social frustrations- there can also be moments of joy and celebration as well. As care partners, we guide, assist and support so that challenges are addressed and needs are met placing our client and their families first.

How can the Alzheimer's & Dementia Care program help you or a loved one?

Our team of health care professionals will:

  • Assist with the daily activities of living such as bathing, dressing and grooming
  • Create and maintain a safe and calm environment
  • Provide medication reminder assistance
  • Bring relief to the individual’s caregivers by assisting with routine home management issues such as housekeeping or laundry

Outside the realm of traditional medicine, we are dedicated to enriching the lives of our patients with joy and compassion.

With a commanding focus on the Mind, Body, Spirit and Family, The HomeLife Enrichment program is designed to bring joy and meaning through various forms of social engagement. This program is specifically designed to help decrease loneliness and maximize the quality of life through cognitive stimulation, education, and of course, FUN! Many components of our program are specifically designed for clients with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. We go beyond traditional care to offer seniors a fulfulling life!
