Interim HealthCare of Central Montana is a locally veteran-owned and state-licensed Home Health Agency, offering in-home personal and companion care, skilled nursing and specialty services. Our headquarters is located in Helena, MT, and we service all of central Montana including Helena, Great Falls, Lincoln, Butte and surrounding areas. We are CHAP (Community Health Accreditation Partner) Accredited, a prestigious recognition that signifies our commitment to meeting the highest standard of quality, providing our patients with the most comprehensive and compassionate services available. Caregivers are thoroughly vetted including criminal background, motor vehicle and reference checks, 10-panel drug screening, and professional license verification. Regular skills assessments and ongoing training ensure proficiency, and all staff are fully bonded and insured.

We are a state-licensed Home Health Agency (MT License. No. 000000134), offering in-home personal and companion care, skilled nursing and specialty services including physical therapy and speech therapy. We have highly skilled and experienced CNAs, LPNs and RNs on staff. Our headquarters is located in Helena, MT, and we service all of central Montana including Helena, Great Falls, Lincoln, Butte and surrounding areas.

Cascade (Great Falls), Broadwater (Townsend), Deer Lodge (Anaconda), Granite (Philipsburg), Jefferson (Montana City, Jefferson City, Boulder), Lewis and Clark (Helena), Meagher (White Sulphur Springs), Sliver Bow (Butte), Teton (Choteau) and Powell (Deer Lodge).  Caregiver availability is currently centered around Helena, Montana City, Jefferson City, Boulder, Butte, Townsend, Great Falls, and Cascade.    

We are continuing to expand our caregiver network into surrounding counties, including:

Get to know Joe!

Joseph (Joe) Piemonte is a seasoned and caring leader with over 33 years of experience in healthcare. His inspiration to start a home health care agency stemmed from personal experience witnessing the tremendous benefits home care provided to his elderly family members, enabling them to remain in their homes and live with dignity, respect, and independence.

Joe has a bachelor’s degree in biology and a master’s degree in healthcare administration, and is a Lifetime Fellow and 35-year member of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He began his career as a US Air Force Medical Service Corps Officer, serving in Tampa, FL and Great Falls, MT. He's held leadership positions with Aetna, Cigna and Humana, with much of his career focused on hospital and health system contracting and provider network management. He also led national customer service center operations supporting 1.5 million Medicaid members, and successfully led two start-up companies, including an outpatient wound care clinic and a regional Medicaid health plan.

Joe is originally from western Pennsylvania. After residing in various states over the years, he and his wife Tami (also a US Air Force veteran) are happy to be back in Montana and to call Helena their home for the rest of their lives! In his spare time, Joe is an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing, fly tying, mountain biking, hiking, hunting, shooting, and scuba diving.

Joe is very excited to lead Interim Healthcare of Central Montana in providing skilled and personal home care to improve and enrich people’s lives in central Montana! 
Meet Misty!

Montana born and raised, Misty brings extensive experience and a deep passion for connecting individuals with the care they need as the Business Development Manager for Interim Healthcare. With over 20 years of experience in home health, personal care, and hospice services, Misty has built meaningful relationships within the healthcare community while advocating for compassionate, client-centered care.

At Interim Healthcare, Misty collaborates closely with families, healthcare providers, and community partners to create tailored solutions that ensure clients receive high-quality care wherever they call home. Known for her commitment to excellence and dedication to serving others, Misty plays a vital role in helping Interim Healthcare expand its impact throughout Central Montana.  She alternates weekly focus between Great Falls, Butte and Helena, ensuring the communities are educated about our services and the benefits we can provide to patients in need.

Outside of work, Misty cherishes spending time with her kids enjoying Montana's great outdoors—boating, camping, fishing, and more—reflecting her love for her community and the natural beauty of her home state.
Meet Kristen!

Kristen Furgason-Fisher, RN, MSN, MBA is an accomplished healthcare leader with over 15 years of clinical experience and more than a decade of leadership across diverse care settings. Her background includes dialysis care as both a clinic and acute administrator, management of a cardiology unit, and leadership roles supporting a wide range of geriatric care populations—including home health and community-based services across Montana—demonstrating her ability to lead teams, navigate complexity, and remain steady when things get busy.

As Director of Healthcare Services for Interim, Kristen provides clinical leadership and strategic oversight to support safe, compassionate, and effective patient care. She guides nursing staff, ensures regulatory compliance, and advances clinical quality while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Known for her strong blend of clinical expertise, operational leadership, and team development, she brings a practical sense of humor to her work—grounded in real-world experience and the understanding that coffee is sometimes a legitimate leadership tool.

Outside of work, Kristen is a proud mom of three energetic boys who keep her on her toes with football, lacrosse, and a steady supply of organized chaos. Although she grew up in Colorado, Kristen has lived in Montana even longer—long enough to confidently call it home. She enjoys exploring everything the state has to offer with her family and appreciates the balance Montana provides between adventure, community, and wide-open spaces.
