Hospice Volunteers

Interim Hospice has a dynamic volunteer program guided by compassionate and caring members who assist in enhancing the quality of life for patients and their loved ones. Volunteers are available for companionship, errands, respite care and bereavement support for families as well as visiting patients in homes, hospitals, nursing homes or assisted living facilities.
 

Volunteer Opportunities Include:

  • Visiting and companionship
  • Reading and taking walks
  • Writing letters
  • Visiting with pets
  • Bringing in music
  • Vigil sitting
  • Respite relief
  • Shopping and errands
  • Meal preparation
  • Light housekeeping
  • Participate in memorial services
  • Assisting in support groups
  • Making special craft items
  • Baking
Interim Hospice is searching for committed volunteers who are dependable and want to make a difference in someone’s life. We have needs in the following Wisconsin counties: Barron, Chippewa, Dunn, Eau Claire, Pierce, Polk, Rusk, and St Croix.  Orientation and training sessions are available throughout the year.
