Interim HealthCare Inc. Announces 2019 Paraprofessional of the Year

Angela joined Interim HealthCare of Greenville, South Carolina in 2001.
This honor is given to an individual that provides exemplary patient care and continuously demonstrates the H.E.A.R.T. qualities of Interim HealthCare paraprofessionals, which stands for Honorable, Experience, Ability, Reliability and Training.
Serving as a lead aide, Angela is responsible for providing an exceptional hospice care experience for patients and their family members. Beyond caring for patients, Angela constantly brings new ideas to her team such as identifying opportunities to improve documentation processes and developing improved protocols for scheduling communication between aides and patients’ families.

Interim HealthCare of the Upstate’s Magen Shelton Receives Hospice Visionary Leadership Award

Magen Shelton was honored for her work in hospice care services.

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Interim HealthCare of the Upstate, a locally owned and operated home health and hospice services provider is pleased to announce that its Vice President of Strategic Development, Magen Shelton, has received the Hospice Visionary Leadership Award from Interim HealthCare, the leading national network of home health and hospice providers.

Shelton was awarded by nomination from Hospice Owners/Leaders within the Interim HealthCare Corporate Franchise. During the national sales meeting this past week, Magen was honored for her strong core values in the Hospice organization, having a clear vision and empowering relationships within the community in which we serve with an innovative action plan.

When asking Magen’s coworkers about their experience working with Shelton it is evident that her passion is infectious. Jennifer Melton, a hospice teammate of Shelton’s said, “I have had the opportunity to work under Magen’s leadership and she truly has a vision for excellence not only for the company but a vision for excellence with each and every patient we have the opportunity to serve. Shelton continues to demonstrate excellence in thinking about and planning future endeavors with imagination, creativity and wisdom. She is a strong leader within Interim HealthCare of the Upstate and continues to make a profound difference in the lives of people each and every day. “I had worked in hospice as a nurse for five years and then as a hospice liaison for one year,” said Heather Millsaps, Director of Hospice at Interim HealthCare. “Little did I know that Magen had a vision, a plan for me that I did not necessarily have for myself. I now find myself in a leadership role that further challenges me and allows me to have an even greater impact. She inspires me and continues to encourage me to be a leader and for that I am so grateful.”
