When you are a family caregiver looking for help caring for the emotional and physical well being of someone you love, there are a lot of unknowns. We have found the best advice comes from others who have been through what you are going through.
Here are a few real life testimonials from people who have experienced the care and compassion that Interim HealthCare of East Bay can provide.

Interim Healthcare allowed me to keep my husband of over 60 years at home with me after he became ill. Sue always listened to my needs and provided me with the help I needed to care for my husband. Our home care aides were kind and caring, and eventually when he became a hospice patient they were able to work with the hospice nurses to keep him comfortable and allow him to pass away peacefully at home. I greatly appreciate the services that Interim provided and would highly recommend them.

I would like to express my deep gratitude to Sue, Melissa and the caregivers who provided care to my Aunt Vivian . Both Sue and Melissa were most responsive to my calls and queries about Aunt Vivian's needs. Thank you for your professional courtesy and follow up.
In a special way I would like to recognize Airielle, Alicia, Aurelia, Trinita and Sarai for the sensitive and competent care they provided to Aunt Vivian over a long period of time. She would often tell me how much she appreciated the attention that they gave to her every need.
As my aunt experienced changes in her vision, hearing, ability to walk and interest in food, these wonderful women adjusted to her varying needs and did the best they could to do what she wanted and needed. They were especially sensitive and helpful to her as she experienced discomfort and pain. Aunt Vivian would tell me that she was always grateful for them and their care. I, too, am grateful to them for being such thoughtful care providers to her.
I would tell them that there is no greater gift in life than to help someone in need. Airielle, Alicia, Aurelia, Trinita and Sarai did meet my aunts needs in a most admirable way. For this I am deeply grateful.

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the years you helped me and my mother, Jerry. Your teams assistance allowed me peace of mind and Jerry to stay as independent for as long as was possible.
When we brought Mom home to live at our house- you continued to be a great help to us. Not only the caretakers, but Sue and Melissa have always been on top of every situation and an integral part of the care Mom received. I always felt a genuine heartfelt connection to both Sue and Melissa- They care!

Interim HealthCare of Walnut Creek was personally recommended to my family by the Director of Senior Services Elaine Welch in Lafayette. She knew many of the business owners in the local community through the Chamber of Commerce. Her first words to us when we asked for a home health care recommendation were, if it were her family, she would hands down choose Joe Bettencourt's Interim HealthCare of Walnut Creek.
I was relieved for such an emphatic endorsement. Lafayette Senior Services had been making daily reassurance calls to my mother for two years since my father had passed away. Later though, when my mother needed 24-hour a day assistance within the home, we were grateful we knew who to call.
I had used several different home health care agencies when my father was ill, but none were great. I always got the feeling those other agencies were either taking advantage of the employees, or that the employees were not properly screened. I also was often frustrated by the lack of communication with those agencies if there was a problem after hours.
Not so with Interim HealthCare of Walnut Creek. They do an extensive screening and training process and communication is their specialty. I could always reach someone by phone or email and get a quick response. If a caregiver wasn't a good fit (my mom could be picky), they would resolve the situation quickly and efficiently. Our primary caregivers were the best; some of them with us for several years.
My family will always be grateful to Interim for providing us with such peace of mind. We knew that my mother was in good hands daily, and was allowed the dignity of staying in her home for as long as possible.

I wanted to compliment you and your fine staff at Interim HealthCare for such a beautiful job they did caring for my father in the last stages of his life. I could not have been more satisfied with the wonderful services, including the personal care and concern. Melissa did a great job assessing our situation and helping calm my mother and other family member's concerns. Dianne was our fist interim health care assistant and she bonded with my mom and dad and made them feel comfortable, and helped with moving my father who was in the late stages of Merkel Cell Cancer. However, the greatest star for us was Shelley. She was with us for two nights and there when my father passed. Without her professionalism and care the situation could have quickly become a worse tragedy for us, but her calming demeanor and care were absolutely angelic at our time of need.

I wanted to express my appreciation and gratitude for all your help during my mom’s final weeks. She grew very close to a couple of your care givers especially Shelley who also attended her memorial.
Everyone was prompt and considerate of her needs. They were able to provide her the company she so loved and the wisdom to keep her comfortable when necessary.
It’s a bit early for me, but when I’m ready to move on to the next life, I hope Interim will be there for me as well.

"I have used Interim Assisted Care to provide 24 hour care for my mother for a little over a year. The caregivers are competent and genuinely care about their clients. The office staff is very friendly and always responsive to my requests and any changes that I'we needed. I would highly recommend anyone looking for assisted care to speak with Interim."

My parents live in Rossmoor and we have been using the care giving services at Interim for over a year. I can't say enough good things about Sue Smith and her team. I have found them to operate with the utmost of professionalism and efficiency and to be extremely caring and supportive. Although my parents have part time care generally, there have been times we've needed 24 hr care and they've been able to turn on a dime (including at 9pm on a Sunday night!). Sue works very hard to assess special care needs and to find the right personality match which is so important. In addition Kim has been great at processing long term care insurance claims in a timely manner and following through on any problems. Interim Health Care is the BEST and I can't imagine how we would make it without them!

On behalf of my family, I wish to convey our sincere appreciation for the competent, patient and compassionate service provided by your staff during the past years for our parents. My mother's roller coaster of health problems started about a year ago. Fortunately, our friends Bill and Debbie recommended your company for at-home caretakers. We were so pleased with the level of professionalism always conveyed by your staff, especially Sue Smith and Melissa Stolte. They were so helpful to our family, especially given my mother's ever changing demands regarding levels of service. So many of the caretakers sent to take care of my parents were outstanding.... Pamela, Jessica and Ana to name a few. Fortunately we were finally able to get Mom on hospice for the last few days of her life. During the transition to hospice, Sue and Melissa were there for us, making sure all Interim caretakers were aware of the changes in Mom's medical treatment.
