Community Interests

In the Month of May, 2015, Interim was challenged by Fed Ex to raise money for the people in Porterville who are directly being affected by the California water crisis, and have no water. We accepted this challenge and reached out to our community partners in healthcare. Interim Healthcare was the drop off station for our community and FedEx  picked up and then delivered the water to the Porterville Area Coordinating Council,  the non -profit that was managing and distributing the water.

Interim HealthCare of the Central Valley is proud to have partnered with the Fresno Grizzlies in our Porterville Water Challenge! With their help, we have collected over 450 CASES of bottled water for the residents of Porterville. With the help of our community partners, we have raised over 10,000 bottles of water.

The Grizzlies invited us to throw out the first pitch of the game, to celebrate our teamwork and participation. Bill Valenzuela, RN, was happy to do so!   (pic attached)
The Fresno Grizzlies collected over 450 cases of water by calling on their partners such as Coco-Cola, and other vendors and business. They also gave away free game tickets to anyone who donated at case of water.  Mrs. Kris Payne

I want to express my appreciation and gratitude for your help with my Mom. She has grown very close to a couple of your care givers. Everyone is prompt and considerate of her needs. It’s comforting to know I have people who I can count on.
