Our Community

For generations, a community has served a vital role in terms of acting as a support system and offering a way to bring people together.

With our society moving at a faster pace with busy schedules and the frequency people change jobs, homes and locations, it makes it harder to make a connection and feel part of something bigger than yourself.  As a locally owned and operated business, we are committed to the community we serve. Each year, our employees participate in a variety of community activities and support a number of worthwhile organizations. A strong community benefits the individual, the community as well as the greater society. People of all ages who feel a sense of belonging tend to lead happier and healthier lives, and strong communities create a more stable and supportive society.

This is directly related to our Interim HealthCare mission – We Improve People’s Lives.

Making History in Mooresville

Interim Healthcare of the Carolinas has become involved in meetings at Richard’s Coffee Shop. This is an amazing place for our Veterans to go to for support and encouragement. Every story these brave men and women tell is our history. The coffee shop was created by Richard Warren in 1995 as a support system and an educational foundation for a lot of Veterans and students. There are over 150 Veterans that attend the meetings and they include all branches from the Navy, Army, Air Force, and Marines.

This is a great asset that the Iredell County community has because it is one of the only living military museums that has items donated from all around the world. While attending the meetings we had the pleasure of creating new friendships with some of the Veterans that attend. The first meeting we went to we became friends with a gentleman there. He gave us a tour and told us his stories while at war. It is an honor and privilege to hear firsthand what these men and women went through to protect our freedom to have a better understanding. It is important to know these stories to be able to support these brave soldiers.

One aspect of the tour that really became predominant in our memories were the toy soldiers. When one enters the coffee shop there is a box of toy soldiers very familiar to the ones that children have and play with. Each guest is able to take one soldier home with them in order to show support and keep soldiers and families in their hearts.  These soldiers symbolize our thoughts and prayers being with the men and women who have been face to face with war and being away from their homes. Our support means the world to them and this coffee shop goes above and beyond to show their support and make a difference in many lives. Interim Healthcare is honored to show their support and be a part of their mission.
