We are so PROUD to offer free training to our potential caregivers! Our Director of HealthCare Services (Terry Schindelholz, BSN RN) has developed and implemented in house training for individuals who would like to work in the home care industry, but are not qualified (without certification). There are specific rules and regulations that govern home care. The requirements for the training are to be enthusiastic about helping others, caring and eager to learn! Every candidate is interviewed before training so we may make sure he/she is a good fit for our company and the clients we serve.

This training is extensive and includes 7 modules: Role of the Personal Care Assistant, Responsibilities of the Personal Care Assistant, Bathing and Showering, Incontinent Needs, Good Work Habits, Eating Healthy, and Oral Mouth Care. These modules provide written documentation as well as testing. Terry guides the student through every stage/module of the training to better hone in on his/her skill set.

Terry is very hands-on and is highly respected by our field staff. She is always available for questions and is always smiling- providing excellent customer service! She is always available for client (and family) questions and is involved in our scheduling process- making sure we have the best caregiver with the right client based on skillset and the specific needs of the client(s). If you or someone you know is looking for a career change, please consider us! We are always ready to welcome new home caregivers into our Interim family!
