Angie and Scott Howell, Owners of Interim HealthCare of Ashburn, VirginiaAngie Howell, RN, BSN, MPH

"After working as a trauma nurse in the emergency room, I wanted to find a way to do more for my patients.  I wanted them to feel safer, to better preserve their dignity, and to empower them to better live their best, most comfortable, and healthy lives.  I found that these objectives were difficult to accomplish in the hospital setting. That's why Scott and I decided to join the Interim family.

There’s no question that the best caregiving can happen when a patient is the most at-ease, and that happens when they are in the comfort of their own home. When a patient is in a place they know, they feel less vulnerable, less stress and are more open to the treatment they need. Thus it is more effective.

I consider it a joy and an honor to care for patients in my community, to make sure that they have the best care possible.  I view my clients as members of my family, and I work every day to ensure that they get the very best of care, delivered in a manner that preserves their dignity."

Scott Howell, MSA (Human Resource Administration), MA (Organizational Psychology)

"I’m excited to join the Interim HealthCare team because of the opportunity to give back to this community that I love.  As a US Army officer, I’ve dedicated my career to fighting for freedom.  Interim fights for freedom in another way:  Freedom for the patient to have the choice to heal at home, rather than in a hospital bed, freedom through respite care for families who work tirelessly day and night to care for their loved ones, freedom for elderly patients to be able to remain in their own homes for much longer, without fears safety, knowing that someone is there to help when they need it.  It is an honor to be able to serve, now, through helping others heal."
