Personal Care and Support

Our Senior Care Professionals in Atherton, Melo Park/ Hillsborough or anywhere in San Mateo County can provide the extra support needed to live an enriched life. As San Mateo's most trusted and experienced providers of care for the elderly, Interim HealthCare understands how important it is for people to stay in their homes. But sometimes, the challenges of everyday living get beyond even the most independent minded people. We help make independent living at home a possibility for you or the people you care about.

Respite Care

Respite care provides breaks from the daily routine of care giving. It can relieve stress, restore energy and promote the necessary balance in your life. At Interim HealthCare of San Mateo, we understand that family caregivers take pride in the care they provide to their loved ones, but the physical, mental and emotional demands can be overwhelming at times. Care giving is an extremely difficult job and no one is equipped to do it alone. Getting help is essential for your health and maintaining your resilience is critical for your loved one.

HomeLife Enrichment

The Interim HealthCare Regional HomeLife Enrichment® Program for San Mateo County is a unique and exciting way of helping seniors that goes beyond traditional Personal Care and Support Services by providing stimulating activities that help our senior clients live not only a safe and independent lifestyle, but one that is enriched with meaning and self-worth.

Alzheimers & Dementia Care

Alzheimer's disease is the most common type of dementia, and affects the memory, thinking and behavior of an estimated 5.4 million Americans, according to the Alzheimer's Association. Symptoms of Alzheimer's disease typically start to set in when the patient is over the age of 60. When symptoms such as forgetfulness or thinking problems develop before age 60, it is classified as early onset Alzheimer's disease.

Successful Living

One of every ten Americans, over 25 million people, suffer every day with chronic, disabling conditions that cause pain and major limitations in their activity. Diseases such as congestive heart failure (CHF), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and diabetes are among the most prevalent, costly, and preventable of all health problems. At Interim HealthCare of San Mateo, we care about our patient's quality of life.  We strive to help them understand their conditions. We teach them to take action to prevent complications and slow the progression of the disease, thus providing the individual with a sense of control over their condition. Home care for patients with chronic disease has also been shown to reduce hospitalization rates.
