Carol Penterman, Owner
After serving the Nashville Opera and Arts community for 19 years, Carol made the decision to take her business experience and commitment to the local community and help seniors in need. Upon becoming an accredited Senior Advisor she moved forward with Interim HealthCare to serve seniors of the Davidson, Williamson and Rutherford counties. With the goal of helping seniors to lead enriched, safe and independent lives in the comfort of their homes.
Prior to owning her own business Carol was Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Nashville Opera Association since 1995. She also supervised the design, development and construction of Nashville Opera’s first permanent home, the Noah Liff Opera Center. She is the proud recipient of a variety of awards, most recently the Opera America Bravo Award for Excellence in 2012 as well as a many other community awards she’s earned over the years.
She has a deep affection for the area and is also a huge community participant. Carol has been a consultant with the Tennessee Arts Commission, specializing in board development, strategic planning financial oversight and best business practices. She is past chair of the Steering Committee for the Nashville Arts Coalition, is a past treasurer and member of the Opera America Board of Directors and served on the Opera America Strategic Planning Advisory Committee. She’s also a member of the Nashville Downtown Rotary.
Teresa Matayka, Client Services Representative & Dementia Specialist
Teresa has worked in Healthcare for over 40 years working with persons living with Dementia. She started with Interim Healthcare of Middle TN 6 years ago and began her career as a Care Professional. In the past 4 years Teresa has held the position of Client Services Representative and Certified Positive Approach Trainer/ Dementia Specialist.
Teresa is an advocate for those living with Dementia and has made it her personal mission to help families and professionals better understand how it feels to be living with Dementia related challenges and change. She offers educational workshops to family and professional care partners all over Middle TN. Her goal? Making a difference...one mind at a time. “Now I can fulfill my goal as an advocate for those living with Dementia and I have made it my personal mission to help families and professionals better understand how it feels to be living with Dementia, the related challenges and changes.”
Rebecca Irwin, Administrative Assistant
Rebecca is a Graduate of Seattle Pacific University. She has experience as a school teacher, college professor, acting junior college president, retired legal officer manager and is currently loving her position at Interim Health Care as an Administrative Assistant. She is a pastor’s wife who enjoys playing the keyboard, leading music, with baking and gardening thrown in. She is a Mother of two great children and Grammy to ten special grandchildren.
