Meet Our Management Team:
Chris Sims, MBA - President & Co-Owner
After graduating from Windsor Academy in Macon, Georgia, Chris attended Georgia College where he graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in 1999 and his MBA in 2002.
Chris began his professional career in 1999 at YKK and in 2004 he transitioned to Global Parts Distributors, a small locally owned auto parts wholesaler. While at Global Parts the company grew quickly and in 2012 it merged with 2 companies in Dallas Fort-Worth TX area. As part of that merger Chris moved to Dallas, Texas to become the President of the consolidated company.
In 2015 with the merger complete Chris and his wife (Heather) decided that they wanted to move home to be closer to family, so they returned to Macon and started Interim HealthCare with their partner, Rick Mixon. Interim Healthcare is a company that is focused on making a difference in the middle Georgia area by helping the aging citizens of the area to remain in their own homes as long as possible. That focus on making a difference is what drives the entire Interim management team!
Heather Sims, LCSW - Client Care Management & Co-Owner
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Heather has extensive experience in providing communities, families, and individuals with evidenced based social and health services. A Georgia native, she completed her undergraduate work in Psychology at Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville and graduate school at The University of Georgia in Athens.
Heather has spent the better part of her 17 year professional career in the Middle Georgia area where she has been dedicated to working with vulnerable individuals in settings that include schools, nonprofit agencies, courts, jails, prisons, and forensic hospitals.
Heather is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, Macon-Bibb Chamber of Commerce, and holds professional Social Work licenses in the States of Georgia and Texas. Along with her education and experience, Heather brings an approach to the business that demonstrates her commitment to services delivered with respect and dignity.
Rick Mixon - Director of Sales & Marketing and Co-Owner
A native of Macon, Rick graduated from Mercer University in 1992 with a degree in accounting. After obtaining his license as a CPA, Rick worked in public accounting for approximately seven years. In 1999, he started a payroll company which grew from a small business with one employee and a few clients, into a corporation employing 30+ employees, serving over 1,000 clients in multiple cities.
In 2015 Rick saw a need for home care services in the middle Georgia area leading him join the Interim team. Always excited about a new opportunity, Rick is looking forward to continuing to serve the residents of Middle Georgia in the years to come.
Rick has been married to his wife Niki for 23 years and they have two children, Kate and Trey. Rick is an active member of Ingleside Baptist Church, a board member at First Presbyterian Day School, and loves coaching basketball in his spare time.
