Interim HealthCare of the Upstate’s Angela Young Receives Paraprofessional of the Year Award
Interim HealthCare of the Upstate, a locally owned and operated home health and hospice services provider is pleased to announce that Angela Young will receive the Interim HealthCare Corporate Paraprofessional of the Year Award!!
The Interim HealthCare Paraprofessional of the Year is awarded during National Home Care Month and will be presented to Angela on November 13th. This award represents that one individual who embodies the HEART qualities (H-Honorable, E-Experience, A-Ability, R-Reliability, T-Training). It is an extremely prestigious award and has national visibility in our homecare network.
An Interim employee since August of 2003, Angela is a Lead Aide in our Hospice division and sees her own slate of patients. She has always gone above and beyond for her patients and has become a true leader within our organization. She is a team player, providing quality feedback to improve processes that benefit all team members, and she always provides timely, accurate and consistent documentation. But above all, her patients and their families love her- she is an “Angel of Aides” by providing a safe comfortable setting for those within her care.
A quote from the application for the award:
“Angela understands that the true work of hospice will always be as much about honoring people with our time and compassionate listening as it is about managing medical symptoms. I believe Angela’s willingness to do both is what keeps her motivated to continue this challenging work. She takes the time to provide true hospice care and the families fortunate enough to receive her service recognize the difference. She leads by example for all of us. It’s a privilege to work with her.”
