Interim HealthCare founded the supplemental staffing concept within health care facilities in 1976. Prior to that time, hospitals and nursing homes kept nurses on "call" so they would be available when the facility needed an extra nurse. Supplemental staffing was born when the economics of balancing fluctuating bed census and staffing needs on a convenient and flexible basis was created. Over the years, Interim HealthCare continues to provide an excellent solution for both health care employers and employees.
