Interim HealthCare Celebrates National Home Care Month in November

October 31, 2005
Sunrise, FL

Interim HealthCare, one of the nation's leading home care providers, will celebrate National Home Care Month in November. Since 1966 Interim has provided home-delivered health care services for nearly 43,000 people each day requiring services because of acute illness, long-term health conditions, permanent disability or terminal illness. The company employs over 67,000 health care workers through a nationwide network of 800 offices (franchise and affiliates).

For the 40 year old home care provider, National Home Care Month gives Interim offices the opportunity to pay tribute to their caregivers who are dedicated to providing physical, spiritual, and emotional support to the ill, disabled and terminally ill patients in their homes. In addition, it is also a means of increasing public awareness about choices between institutionalization and home care, and the wide range of home care services that Interim offers to the community. Throughout the month, nearly 300 Interim offices throughout the country will celebrate with a variety of activities--from hosting open house parties to recognizing outstanding home care employees at awards ceremonies.

Home care professionals and modern medicine make it possible for people to stay in their homes, regardless of their condition. In keeping with the technological advances over the years, Interim has expanded its scope of home care services growing far beyond providing basic professional nursing and home care aide services. Interim offers a wealth of home care services including nursing, physical, occupational, respiratory and speech therapies, counseling, dietary, laboratory, pharmacy, podiatry and personal care.

Founded in 1966, Interim HealthCare is the nation's oldest proprietary national organization providing health care personnel at all skill levels in all settings. Interim HealthCare provides diverse services including home care, facility medical staffing, occupational health staffing for business and retail companies, teaching and pharmaceutical use for patients at home and in physician offices and medical device training.

Interim HealthCare is the largest provider of home health care and medical staffing in the United States and Puerto Rico. Based in Sunrise, Florida, Interim HealthCare employs more than 67,000 health care workers annually and serves nearly 43,000 people each day.
