Interim HealthCare Expands Services in California

October 21, 2003
Sunrise, FL

Interim HealthCare Inc., the nation's leading provider of home health care and medical staffing, announced that it has expanded its presence in California. A new office in Stockton, California, provides a more convenient commute for nurses and home health aides who previously worked out of the Riverside and Victorville Interim locations.

Stockton is the second California branch location to open this year for the Sunrise, Florida-based company with the new Victorville office having opened in April. Interim HealthCare now has a total of 15 branch locations and seven franchise locations in California. The newest franchise owners are Jeanne and Justin DiMacchia who purchased the San Francisco location earlier this year.

Michael Schundler, president and CEO of Interim HealthCare Inc. states, "California is an important market for Interim HealthCare. We are the leading provider of pediatric home care services in California and we are pleased to expand our services throughout the state. The demands for home health care will continue to increase as people 65 and over require additional medical attention and personal assistance to remain living independently at home. The growth also enables us to expand our pool of caregivers by bringing our offices closer to where they live."

Founded in 1966, Interim HealthCare is the nation's oldest proprietary national organization providing health care personnel at all skill levels in all settings. Through one of the country's most comprehensive networks of 600 offices, (franchise and affiliates) Interim HealthCare provides diverse services including home care, facility supplemental staffing, occupational health staffing for business and retail companies, teaching and pharmaceutical use for patients at home and in physician offices and medical device training. Interim employs more than 50,000 health care workers and serves nearly 43,000 people each day.
