Interim HealthCare's New Pediatric Credentialing Program Attracts Potential Nurse RecruitsOctober, 23 2002 Interim HealthCare Inc., the nation's largest provider of home care and supplemental health care staffing services, announced today that it has tested and qualified over 400 Interim HealthCare nurses as part of a unique pediatric credentialing program. Developed by the Professional Services Division of Interim HealthCare Inc., the program is enhancing the skills of nurses within its network of nearly 300 offices in order to provide a higher quality of care to their youngest patients. Under the new program, Interim HealthCare nurses must meet credentialing requirements for a certain level of care. These include basic care of sick children or newborns, trachea care, ventilator care, IV medication, nutrition and insertion of peripheral lines. For each care level, nurses read a study guide that covers key procedures and information and complete a written exam. After passing the exam, they demonstrate their ability to perform specific skills for each level of care. Upon successfully completing the program, the nurses are presented with a different color pin for each level of achievement as well as a letter of commendation from Michael Schundler, CEO of Interim HealthCare Inc. Commenting on the Pediatric Credentialing Program, Mr. Schundler states, "Our unique Pediatric Credentialing Program is one more reason why so many health care professionals are choosing Interim HealthCare as their employer. Our pediatric nurses are a very dedicated group of health care professionals and we are proud of their commitment to improving their skills and providing the highest level of care." Interim HealthCare is now introducing the Pediatric Credentialing program to physicians to inform them of the additional level of training by select Interim HealthCare pediatric nurses. Patients and family members will also be informed of the program to help reassure them during their time of need. Founded in 1966, Interim HealthCare is one of the largest employers of health care professionals. The company offers a full spectrum of home care and supplemental health care staffing opportunities including per diem, extended term, direct hire and travel.
