Interim HealthCare Inc. Names First Interim HomeStyle HeroJune 3, 2002 Interim HealthCare Inc., the nation's largest provider of home health and supplemental staffing, announced the winner of the first Interim HomeStyle Hero Award. Barbara Dunbar, Certified Nurse Assistant, from Charlotte, North Carolina was the recipient of the national award which recognizes a home health aide who best represents the character traits that make up a hero such as compassion, integrity, responsibility and helpfulness. As the winner, she receives a $500 award. Two honorable mentions were recognized: Amanda Brown, Home Health Aide, of Mount Vernon, Ohio and Patricia Cauley, Personal Care Assistant, of Seneca, South Carolina. Interim HomeStyle Services is the company's brand name for non-medical home care services. The Interim HomeStyle Hero award is unique in that each nominee was asked to obtain a client testimonial providing reasons why their caregiver should be recognized as a HomeStyle Hero. Interim HealthCare's 300 offices throughout the country submitted their nominees for this prestigious national award. "We initiated the HomeStyle Hero Award so we could recognize our valued employees, but it has also served as a means to hear what our patients and their families have to say about the care they receive on a daily basis," stated Michael Schundler, CEO and President of Interim HealthCare Inc. "It is always a difficult selection process because we have so many caring, friendly, and compassionate caregivers at the company and we thank them all for their contribution to our mission of improving people's lives. We are honored to have them as part of the Interim HealthCare family." Founded in 1966, Interim HealthCare is the nation's oldest health care franchise organization and the largest provider of home health and supplemental staffing services. Based in Sunrise Florida, Interim HealthCare has nearly 300 offices throughout the United States and Brazil and employs more than 50,000 health care workers providing services to nearly 20,000 people each day.
