Interim HealthCare Announces New Ownership of Franchise Offices in Florida

April 24, 2002
Sunrise, FL

Interim HealthCare, the nation's largest provider of home care and supplemental health care staffing services, announced the new ownership of four existing Florida locations in Jacksonville, St. Augustine, Palm Coast and Clearwater. The new ownership reflects the continuous growth of the 36 year old franchise company with currently 69 franchise owner organizations in the United States and Brazil.

The Jacksonville, St. Augustine and Palm Coast offices were purchased from John and Lisa Morris, Interim HealthCare franchise owners of 17 offices in North and South Carolina for nearly 14 years. The new owners of these Florida locations are Glenn and Bonnie Reeves. Mr. Reeves was former Vice President of Regional Services at FirstHealth of the Carolinas, owner of the Interim HealthCare franchise office in Pinehurst, North Carolina. The Northeast Florida offices will continue to provide services to home care patients and facilities in need of health care personnel. Mr. Reeves states, "I am pleased to become a franchise owner for such an established franchise organization. I've worked with the Interim HealthCare team in North Carolina since 1998 and I'm extremely enthusiastic about building upon the existing foundation of business." Mr. Reeves plans on promoting the new Interim HomeStyle Services brand for non-medical services in these markets while maintaining the established home care and supplemental staffing services currently offered by these locations.

The Clearwater location has been a corporate-owned branch of Interim HealthCare for 28 years. Recently purchased by Eileen Spellissy, residents of Clearwater will benefit by having an experienced home care provider in their community led by a Registered Nurse and former Senior Director of Recruitment for Interim HealthCare Inc. She states, "Becoming an owner has given me the opportunity to utilize my experience in the health care field to make a difference in people's lives. Having worked for the corporate office, I traveled extensively over the past year and gained a good understanding of recruitment challenges and solutions during this time when everyone is experiencing the nursing shortage. My new ownership is a great career opportunity and, more personally, moving to Clearwater enabled me to be closer to my family as well as fulfill my career goals." The office will continue to provide both skilled care and supportive services in the Clearwater community. Ms. Spellissy also plans on expanding the supplemental staffing services offered to facilities in need of medical personnel.

Nationally, Interim HealthCare Inc. has nearly 300 offices in the United States and Brazil and has been providing home care and supplemental staffing services since 1966. It is the nation's oldest health care franchise organization.
