Physical therapist Jeanne Brown comes to her home to help her with her mobility issues. Karen Bojarski, an Interim HealthCare nursing aide also assists Althea all day long with everyday tasks to ensure she maintains her independence, which her husband Victor Pisinski appreciates since he’s not able to do so during the day as he still maintains a full time career.
“May is Huntington’s Disease Awareness Month and is a terrific opportunity to raise awareness and encourage education about the disease and its impact on patients and their families” said Kathleen Gilmartin, President and CEO of Interim HealthCare Inc. “Many times families think that when the care gets to be too much for them their loved one needs to move into a facility, however with Interim’s home care services they can remain in their homes and get the care and support they and be able to stay in their home environment where they most want to be.”
