Our Network

Interim HealthCare provides nationwide coverage through a network of more than 300 offices nationwide.

We take pride in our ability to capitalize on the benefits of both local responsiveness and national structure. Our franchise organization is as old as the company, with an average owner tenure of 20 years. Throughout those years, the franchise owners have proven to be invaluable partners in guiding the direction of the company and in the research, development, and implementation of various programs.

We have created a seamless network of offices by standardizing much of our business, such as policies and procedures, national research and development, clinical pathways, internal audit measures, and regionally based cooperatives to capture the benefits of national scope, structure and experience. Our affiliate offices have undergone a credentialing process which includes licensure, accreditation or certification and performance results.

Focus
Each Interim HealthCare franchise office develops its own business and clinical strategy, in the context of national Interim HealthCare policies and procedures. All offices provide a set of core services and all operate with the same set of personnel policies that would allow them to recruit across the spectrum of home care needs. However, each of the offices have also developed their own focus or niche in their markets. For some it is pediatric services. For others it is heart disease or non-medical supportive services. Most franchise offices have the ability to provide any home care services, but many also have specialties that are tailored to local needs and opportunities.

Organization
Interim HealthCare offices are locally organized and staffed. In most cases, patients, payors and referral sources receive all their services from the local office. There are no referrals to national corporate offices some distance away. Each office provides the following functions:

  • Intake
The hub of each Interim HealthCare office is the client service staff. Client Service Representatives (CSRs) and, depending on the size of the office, Supervisors and Managers begin the intake process. Nurses are available for clinical referrals.
  • Clinical
The Chief Clinician in an Interim HealthCare office is the Director of Health Care Services (DHCS). In many instances, he or she has completed an Interim HealthCare credentialing program as well as met the experience and skill requirements of the position. Depending on the size of the office, the DHCS is supported by Home Care Supervisors who oversee the field personnel.
  • Operations
Payroll and billing are performed locally at Interim HealthCare offices. This means there is a direct route to questions and problem resolution. It means local familiarity with the various payor rules and procedures for securing authorizations and local relationships with physicians to meet their needs and secure their effective involvement in home care.
  • Common Strength
Interim HealthCare offices are usually small. Most of the more than 75,000 people employed at Interim HealthCare are field employees, providing services in patient and client homes. The offices are local and responsive, making home care a viable choice for ongoing health care needs.
