ProgramsPEDIATRIC CREDENTIALING PROGRAMThis program was created by a national panel of Interim HealthCare's most experienced pediatric clinicians and leaders to meet industry challenges. The Pediatric Credentialing Program will offer you the opportunity to demonstrate your skills and knowledge and expand on your pediatric expertise and earn Continuing Education Contact Hours. The scope of pediatric home care knowledge and demonstrable skill has been aggregated in four basic levels: LEVEL 1: Basic Pediatric Home Care LEVEL 2: Tracheostomy Management LEVEL 3: Ventilator Management LEVEL 4: Infusion Therapy Management According to the corporate protocol, ALL Interim pediatric nurses must be credentialed for Levels 1-3 by Interim HealthCare within one year. The program is designed as a take home/self study course. If you would like, you can challenge the exams without completing the reading requirements. If you do not pass the exam, you will still have the opportunity to complete the reading re-test. This program is meant to be educational and supportive. We are here to help you succeed, as much or as little as you would like or need. APPRENTICE PROGRAM Home Health Aides or CNAs who have successfully completed a State or Interim HealthCare approved program but do not have six months of homecare experience may be eligible to participate in the Apprentice Program. As an apprentice, you are required to perform all care for a minimum of 8-10 home visits while under the direct observation of a Preceptor. Upon the apprentice's satisfactory completion of his/her field experience, the HHA Program Supervisor assigns the apprentice to independently provide care/services. The HHA Program Supervisor will then conduct an on-site supervision visit while the apprentice is performing care/services: Once a week for two weeks then once every two weeks for one month. A total of 4 satisfactory supervisory visits are required to complete the apprentice program. |
