Does Interim HealthCare offer financing?
No. Owners secure their own financing for payroll through local banking relationships. We can offer recommendations for potential sources.

Am I given territorial protection?
Yes. You will be awarded an exclusive territory under the terms of your agreement.

Do I receive training?
Yes, there is a "New Owner" training session, which is held at the Interim HealthCare Training Center in Sunrise, Florida. The cost of training is included in the initial franchise fee. Franchise owners pay the cost of transportation, lodging and some meals.

What form of continued support will be provided?
You will be assigned a sales/operations professional who is familiar with all facets of the business. He or she will continue to help you throughout your tenure as a franchise owner. There are numerous manuals you can access and ongoing training is available. In addition, the company offers a variety of resources including downloadable forms and marketing materials though a website that is one of the best in the industry. There is even a proprietary tool that allows you to build your own website and operate it at no additional cost.

Are there meetings with fellow owners?
There are co-ops that are very helpful and supportive and we encourage all of our franchise owners to participate in them. At least annually there is also a national sales/operational meeting held in conjunction with the Owners Advisory Council.

Can I sell my business?
Yes. Like any business, you can sell to a buyer approved by Interim HealthCare.

How much can I expect to earn?
Your earnings capability will depend on various factors - primarily the amount of time and energy you spend in your business, and federal and state regulations affecting the industry. Naturally, as in any business venture, there is no guarantee of your success or earnings capability. We do, however, give you the benefit of our national network and all the expertise housed in our National Service Center that exists only to support our franchisees.

Do you have to be a medical professional to succeed?
Not necessarily.

If you have a strong desire to own your own business and the ability to select and manage professional personnel, you have a strong foundation. While some of our franchise owners have a medical background, many do not. However, it is important to realize that this type of franchise operates in a regulated environment and typically requires a health care professional to oversee the delivery of services.

Is there a big market for these services?
Absolutely! The market continues to grow.

The nation's population continues to age. In 1994, approximately one in eight Americans was age 65 and older. By 2030, one in five Americans will be a senior citizen. From 1960 to 1994, the "oldest" population (persons aged 85 and over) increased by 274% compared with 100% for those 65 and over. Americans spend roughly $33 billion annually for home health care services. Home health care is considered by many to be a cost-effective alternative to extended hospitalizations, lengthy rehabilitation, or nursing facility stays.

Is health care suitable for a franchise?
Definitely.

A successful home care or staffing agency requires operating systems and processes that take years to develop. We have spent 40 years understanding this complex business and we are an industry leader in providing operational, marketing, sales, legal, financial and human resource support. Our ability to navigate through government regulations is one of the most important benefits our franchises receive. Through on-site visits and our proprietary InterLink software system, we are able to reduce the stress of opening a new health care business and save you time and money.

What can I find out about the initial fees?
Plenty! We encourage you to ask questions.

The initial franchise fee for a Full Service franchise is $15,000. The total estimated initial investment ranges from $130,650 to $407,250. Additional information on the initial investment is contained in Item 7 of our Uniform Franchise Offering Circular, which is available upon request.
