Interim HealthCare of Erie was opened in March 1999 to meet the home care needs of individual patients and staffing needs of healthcare facilities in the Erie metropolitan and northwest Pennsylvania counties.

Interim HealthCare of Erie is a branch of Interim HealthCare of Pittsburgh and part of the national network of over 400 Interim HealthCare offices.

Interim HealthCare operates under a nationally established Code of Ethics, Standards of Practice, and Quality Assurance Program directed toward the unmatched delivery of quality health care, service, and supervision to adult and pediatric patients.

IHC Erie is a Medicare and Medicaid certified home health agency and is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health. IHC Erie is also a Alzheimer's Foundation of America Qualified Dementia Homecare Provider.
