Being away from your elderly loved one is difficult as a long-distance family caregiver, but if she's diagnosed with dementia, that can make you a little more nervous. Finding ways to compensate for the distance involved can help you and your elderly loved one to feel more at ease.

Many elderly loved ones balk at the idea of hiring senior care providers. It could be the fact that there's a stranger in her home now or simply that she's always been so independent.

Isolation can take hold of the best of us. Whether it’s suffering from an illness, dealing with grief or the effects of old age, people can suddenly find themselves isolated and alone. But this doesn't have to happen. For aging parents who don't get out of the house like they use to because they can no longer drive, senior care is the remedy.
